In my house, Super Bowl Sunday equals Super Bowl snack time. Chips, dips, wings, and pizza are standard, but I also like offering up some lighter fare.
Intercept empty calories, sugar, and fats by making these good-for-you alternatives to the classics.

justtomatoes.comI thought they'd be too tart, but they're just perfectly tartsweet. Great on cereal, in trail mix, with yogurt, or by themselves. Definitely my latest obsession.

I'm allergic to cow dairy and hypoglycemic. Ugh, so I have to eat lots of whole foods. Cheese is perfect because the fat keeps my blood sugar stable but goat cheese is the only kind I can digest.

This is a great 3 o'clock pick me up. Eat with tortilla chips or just a spoon!

1 large avocado, peeled, pitted, diced
1 serrano chile or jalapeño chile, seeded, deveined, minced
1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/3 cup chopped red onion

OK -- so if you haven't tried Yogurt Burst Cheerios I strongly suggest you do. It's the same Cheerios we all love with a sprinkle of Strawberry or Vanilla pieces. It's totally yummy and great as just a snack on it's own without milk.

This is a snack I enjoy even when I'm not counting calories- but when I am, it certainly helps me kill my cravings. It's simple. I scoop one Fat-Free Jello Pudding Cup (I like Chocolate, but use whatever you want) into an ice cream cone (the cake style cones).
