This is a great 3 o'clock pick me up. Eat with tortilla chips or just a spoon!
1 6-ounce ahi tuna steak
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 large avocado, peeled, pitted, diced
1 serrano chile or jalapeño chile, seeded, deveined, minced
1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/3 cup chopped red onion
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
2 teaspoons chopped fresh oregano
Combine tuna, 3 tablespoons oil, and all remaining ingredients in medium bowl. Using fork, mix just to blend. Season tartare to taste with salt and pepper and chill.
Makes about 2 1/3 cups.

mmmm...tuna
a spoon sounds good to me
1I love tuna, especially prepared like this.
Sadly, I dont have it on hand most days at 3pm.
2Sounds super-delish! Will have to try it on a Saturday afternoon!
3Mmmmm... I love tuna tartar, but I've never made it. I'll have to give it a try!
