
My local Trader Joes started selling dried hibiscus flowers and I've decided they are the perfect topping for oatmeal, yogurt or to eat alone as a healthy treat. They taste like dried cranberries, and give off a pretty pinkish color (you can't tell here because of the pomegranate seeds). If you are looking for a less healthy way to use them, try dropping them into a glass of Prosecco for a delightful sparkling cocktail. The best bonus? Apparently, hibiscus contains lots of heart healthy antioxidants.
