Hi, I just joined but I have a healthy snack that is sweet with no added sugar! I don't know if I would even call it a recipe because it's so simple. Since I've been hearing alot about cinnamon being full of health benefits (control blood sugar levels and may aid in weight loss), I decided to try to incorporate more into my diet.
Here's the recipe:
1 very ripe small banana (one that is less the 7" long)
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon.
Peel and mash the banana in a bowl, sprinkle the cinnamon over it and mix it up! If you let it sit for a few minutes it really incorporates the flavors and it is really delicious and sweet without adding any additional sugar. Plus there is only about 90-100 calories in it, depending on the size of the banana!

So simple even I can do it!!
1I love bananas. This would be a really good quick breakfast!
2I do something very similar to this a lot for a snack. I chop up a banana and sprinkle the pieces with cinamon. Then I heat up a small pan with cooking spray and saute the banana pieces for a few minutes until they get warm and mushy and eat it warm like that. It's very fast and a great snack that feels very good and sinful even though it's not!
3clever!
4ohhh mymaria, that sounds the warmed bananas sound tasty. love the idea carly!
5Yum I'll have to try that mymaria!!
